The payment date is not within an open accounting period

I am trying to do my accounts for 2020/21 and it says

Hi Wendy! Welcome to the Community Forum!

It isn’t possible to backdate expenses in Crunch Free - I’m afraid our software can only cover the current accounting period’s transactions (i.e from ⅛/2021).

Sorry, I know this doesn’t solve the issue for you but I hope it explains why it wasn’t working. Give us a shout if you’re getting that message pop up for transactions dated after ⅛/2021 and of course we can look into that for you.

Hi Wendy - Our standalone Self Assessment service might be a good option for you, as we can provide this regardless of which package you’re currently on:
https://www.crunch.co.uk/what-we-do/self-assessment

Instead of filling in your invoices / expenses in Crunch as you would for the current year, you’d need to provide the information to us (ideally) as a spreadsheet. You can request the service by filling in our Self Assessment questionnaire.
