Mark I duplicated an invoice and marked it as paid before I realised it was a duplicate. I then refunded the client. I now have a message on my dashboard saying the refund is not allocated to an invoice or credit note. When I click on the allocate button there is no dropdown menu to enable me to allocate the refund. I thought it might be because I haven’t created a credit note so I created a credit note but again when I try to allocate the refund it says there are no credit notes to allocate the payme t to. There does not seem to be any menu option to view credit notes so how can I see the credit notes raised? More importantly how do I allocate the refund when there is nothing showing to allocate it against? This has also created an extra payment of VAT which needs to be removed somehow. Presumably it will cancel off when the refund is allocated. Help please as my VAT submission is due at the end of this month.
