Hi Giorgio,
If you’re travelling solely for business purposes, there are definitely some expenses that you’ll be able to claim.
Some common expenses could include:
- Transport costs (trains, taxis, flights)
- Hotel
- Subsistence (not related to entertaining)
- Event tickets for business conferences
Check out our article; ‘What expenses can I claim as a sole trader’
Please be aware, if your trip also includes a personal element, for example, if you decide to stay for a few extra days after your conference for a holiday, this will impact your ability to claim expenses as they’re no longer seen as solely for the use of the business.
All the best,
Katie
