Multiple Item expense record

Hi
When adding expenses, on some of my receipts I have bought for example 10 bags of cement. Do I need to record that expense in 10 separate lines for it to be accurate? Could I just add to the description x10? Would that be a correct way of doing it? It is really a lot of work if all of them need to be added separately.

Hi Bianca,

If you’ve purchased multiple of the same item on one receipt then recording them as one line item is absolutely fine. Just make a note in the description as you’ve suggested.

If you purchase different items in one go then you’d split these into separate lines as you may need to use different expense categories.
